Los Angeles design firm Hult has taken some very unusual materials and created an innovative new wireless Bluetooth speaker dubbed the “Pavilion.”
The Pavilion uses high-density concrete as a base, which actually helps create a clean sound thanks to a lack of vibration. Another odd choice is the copper finish, but it helps create both superior sound and a one-of-a-kind aesthetic.
Hult has built the wireless speaker to work with both Android and iOS devices and also allows the Pavilion to be paired to one of its sisters to create a stereo system.
Hult is looking for funding via Kickstarter—and currently is a little over half way to its $70,000 goal—with plans to begin shipping the Pavilion in May 2016.
