Renowned author Ken Follett has decided to let someone else turn a new page with his beachfront Antigua estate, putting it on the market for $25 million.
The “Bananaquit” estate (named after a local bird) on Jumba Bay Island is home to an eight bedroom, 11,600-square-foot house sitting on 1.5 acres with ocean views. There is also a pool complete with cabana area and a lighted tennis court on the property.
Follett said he worked on many of his books at the Jumba Bay home where he would spend 10 weeks a year with his wife and visiting family.
Bananaquit was built by Follett in the 1990’s and is one of seven homes up for sale on the 300-acre island just north of Antigua.
With such great literary history, the next owner might just find inspiration for a best seller.
