An evolution of last year’s Signature Touch smartphone, Vertu has launched its New Signature Touch. The tech brand wants consumers to view as a better and more refined version of the previous model.
The real increase in luxury comes in the form of updated specifications. A new 5.2-inch screen with 1080p resolution is protected by scratch and shatter resistant sapphire crystal, while the back holds a 21-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash that can also record 4K video.
A new Snapdragon 810 chip is paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of memory, and the inclusion of a special Micro SD card slot hidden in the same area as the SIM card door provides extra memory and functionality.
Additional features include Android 5.1 with minor changes, global 4G LTE connection, and Qi wireless charging.
Available in eight different leather designs, the Vertu New Signature Touch starts at $9,000 and goes on sale October 9, although it can be pre-ordered through Harrods in the UK.
