Another Mercedes has received the Brabus treatment, and it was just in time for the Frankfurt Auto Show. Brabus turned the Mercedes-AMG G63 into the “850 Widestar” with increased power and a sturdy, aggressive look.
Improvements to the SUV’s 5.5-liter V8 engine increase power to 838 horsepower and a tire-shredding 1,069 pound-feet of torque. A reimagined billet crankshaft, exhaust manifold, forged pistons, and billet connection rods help support the turbo-powered mechanical upgrades.
The Brabus-treated G63 is able to speed from zero to 60 in only four seconds and reaches speeds north of 160 mph.
Exterior upgrades include a carbon-fiber hood scoop, fender flares on all four corners, and a spoiler crafted into the front bumper. Additionally, Brabus-specific 23-inch alloy wheels are powered by an automatic transmission for control and precision.
The 850 Widestar also gets a new interior look with leather upholstery, an Alcantara headliner, rear power-retractable tray tables, an iPhone charging dock, and more.
