After actors Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas split up, they sold their Los Angeles mansion for $15.947 million. Now the single actress is renting a Hollywood Hills mansion for $30,000 a month.

Griffith’s new home was originally built in the 1920s and is set on a 0.28-acre hillside lot. The 4,725-square-foot multi-level mansion features four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Wrought iron gates, a high wall, and a large hedge offer plenty of privacy to the classic restored property.

The home features coffered ceilings, intricate ironwork, exposed wood beams, several fireplaces, and arched windows. A double-height rotunda entrance with a tile-accented curved staircase welcomes visitors before walking into the large step-down formal living room with a barrel-vaulted ceiling.

In true celebrity home fashion, there’s a high-tech movie theater fit for at least seven, a large kitchen, wrought iron-railed Juliet balcony, and a breakfast nook closed off by adjoining French doors.

Griffith surely relaxes in the lush master suite complete with a television surmounted fireplace, city views, custom closet, and an oversized steam shower. The backyard is also customized with a bullet-shaped swimming pool, poolside cabana, built-in grilling station, and a courtyard with an outdoor fireplace.

After a public separation, a fabulous luxury home is exactly what Griffith needs to relax and start over.
