The bowl chair is back. The late architect and designer Lina Bo Bardi has recently garnered a lot of posthumous attention for her incredible work including the Bowl chair. Bo Bardi created the semispherical seat back in 1951, which featured the bowl shape set on a metallic ring and four legs.

Now, 64 years later, the piece that was never put into production is getting its big debut. Italian brand Arper has reintroduced the unique chair to the United States. Arper paired with Instituto Lina Bo e P.M. Bardi. to develop a 500-piece collection. Highlighting Bo Bardi’s original modernist classic design, the Bowl chair is now retailing for $5,670.

The artist’s designs blended informal, casual forms with unique, intimate styles. Mimicking her one-of-a-kind aesthetic, Arper’s Bowl chair is available in black leather and seven different colored fabric versions.
