If you’re in the market for a stunning Cape Cod estate, now is the time to buy. In a strange turn for the local market, two homes now share the title for Massachusetts’ most expensive house. At $25 million each, you’ll have to decide which one deserves the honor.

Don’t expect a classic Cape Cod look with this first home found in Chatham along the thin tip of Cape Cod. The massive estate was built to the owner’s specifications, and the curved walls, wine cave and large theater set it apart from its neighbors. With three levels and six bedrooms this home doesn’t quite fit the description of “New England quaint,” which is why it’s been on the market for nearly two years. Although it might not fit in among its coastal neighbors, the 10,974-square-foot mansion is a stunner with views of Nantucket Sound and the Atlantic.

The second home with a $25-million price tag is two hours away in Dartmouth. Located on the tip of Mishaum Point, the 21,848-square-foot home has eight bedrooms and is entirely soundproof. With an incredible view of the Atlantic, homeowners won’t be distracted by blowing winds. The home also boasts a two-lane indoor bowling alley alongside other spectacular amenities.
