Steven Spielberg, the most commercially successful film director in Hollywood history, is selling his Malibu home for $35 million in a secret off-market deal, according to reports.
The 7,237-square-foot home has seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms.
Spielberg had been using the home a a $125,000-per-month rental property for the last two years and is now ready to get rid of the estate. The Oscar-winning filmmaker originally purchased the home in 1989 and had it completely renovated in 2000.
The home sits on a little less than an acre and includes a central courtyard, beach front property, a pool and spa, and a two-bedroom guesthouse.
The neighborhood is also home to such Hollywood elite as Pierce Brosnan, Dustin Hoffman, Danny DeVito and Rhea Perlman, and Ray Romano.
