The largest ranch in America, known as the Waggoner Ranch, has hit the market with an asking price of $725 million.
The estate is more than just a 510,000-acre ranch. There are two main compounds, hundreds of homes, 20 cowboy camps, 30,000 acres of cultivated land, thousands of cattle, and hundreds of quarter horses on the property.
The ranch was built in 1849. Oil was discovered on the property in 1902 and it is now home to thousands of wells.
The ranch stretches 796 square miles. The realtors handling the sale are hoping that the property is the most expensive ranch in the world so they can tout that to attract a Silicon Valley entrepreneur or an oil tycoon.
