Nendo’s Soft series of three tables is crafted from five sheets of frosted glass.

“With this, we tried to create a natural and soft image, as if the colors on the edges were blurring,” a Nendo press release says. “By combining the extremely difficult technique of printing gradation colors on the diagonal edges with the printing that expresses a delicate ‘blurriness’, an appearance that contradicts the conventional image of glass, which is of a hard and sharp material, was achieved.”

The joints between the two sheets of glass are printed with bright colors to create a gradient effect that makes this modern piece stand out. Colors include purple to red, orange to yellow, and blue to purple.

The Soft series was shown off at Nendo’s solo exhibition at Museo della Permanente during Milan Design Week.
