Italian design firm Ale de Vecchi is remaking antique Italian sofas dating back to the 1850s.
“We are firmly convinced that the controlling of the production chain, the research of the finest materials and the passion for design can give birth to unique and unequalled objects which will give you emotions every day and for all life,” A press release states
The artists at Ale de Vecchi make the sofas just like they would have been made in the 1850s. They are handcrafed from locally sourced material using antique looms. Not to mention that the pieces are made by masters of the trade.
Their know-how and manual skill make the finished product a true masterpiece of the best italian manufacture and give life to a truly rare object that is unique and irreproducible,” Alessandro de Vecchi, the design firm’s founder, said.
The firm is currently taking on clients. Each piece is specifically tailored to customer requests.
