A huge 23,000-square-foot mansion with eight bedrooms and 15 bathrooms, a 19-seat theater with a 14-foot screen, a candy bar, a James Bond-themed bar of the alcohol persuasion, a fully-stocked wine room and more has been sold to Markus “Notch” Persson, the Swedish creator of the insanely popular video game Minecraft.

“The U.S. is a safe area for international buyers to invest in real estate,” Forster Jones, the real estate agent handling the sale, said. “But L.A. is also very, very cheap. The value and price relative to other international metropolitan areas make L.A. a bargain, even though this is a big dollar amount.”

We previously reported on this massive home here, but as a reminder the home is located in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood in the Platinum Triangle in California.

The original asking price was $85 million. Persson purchased the James Bond-esque home for a discounted $70 million. Despite the price cut, it still sets a record for the most expensive purchase in the luxurious neighborhood.
