Bentley unveiled a grand convertible at the Los Angeles Auto Show, appropriately called the Grand Convertible.

“This concept demonstrates Bentley’s ability to create a pinnacle convertible Grand Tourer, while embodying elegance beyond compare,” Wolfgang Dürheimer, Bentley Chairman and CEO, said. “With this car we combine the opulent Mulsanne experience with the full sensory indulgence of open-air touring, continuing to unite luxury and performance in new ways. We are eagerly awaiting the response of our customers to this car. We will ensure that this car – if it reaches the roads – will be a highly exclusive, extremely limited collector’s piece.”

Based on the Mulsanne, the Grand Convertible has the same 530-horsepower 6.75L twin-turbo V8 under the hood. The exterior and interior design sets it apart, with the seats being crafted from 14 different naturally tanned leathers cross-stitched together with contrasting blue thread to match the exterior’s paintjob. Also unique to the Grand Convertible is the “liquid metal” hood and windshield frame.

Pricing and production details were not released at the Los Angeles Auto Show or in the following press release sent out by Bentley. The car is still a concept at the moment.
