Porsche is adding a new vehicle to its 911 lineup. The 2015 Porsche 911 Carrera GTS finds the middle ground between the base 911 models and the racing-focused GT3.
“We’ve given it everything that typifies a sports car,” A Porsche spokesperson said in a press release. “(It has a) powerful front, a broad rear, and sharper design elements.”
The GTS looks similar to the all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 with a few exceptions such as the 20-inch black wheels, black trim on the intake, and chrome-plated tailpipes.
It’s powered by a 3.9 liter flat-six engine that pushes the car to a top speed of 190 MPH and propels it to 0-60 MPH in 3.8 seconds.
The Porsche 911 GTS will be available in both a coupe and a convertible model with a choice of rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.
The price is going to be set at $127,095 for the convertible model and $115,195 for the coupe. Getting the all-wheel drive option tacks on an extra $6,700. They are scheduled to hit dealers’ lots at the end of the year.
