Just last week, Mercedes unveiled its newest flagship supercar. “The new Mercedes-AMG GT proves that we will be positioning AMG as a dynamic sports car brand even more strongly and aggressively than before,” Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG GmbH, said.
There will be two versions of the AMG GT, the GT and GT S. They are both powered by the same 4.0-liter, twin-turbocharged V8 and have a rear-wheel seven-speed dual clutch transmission. The difference between the two cars is that the GT S pumps out slightly more ponies and goes slightly faster. The GT S pumps out 503 hp and goes 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and goes 193 mph. The GT pushes out 456 hp and has a top speed of 189 mph and goes 0 to 60 in 3.9 seconds. The interior of the vehicle has an aviation theme.
Pricing information has yet to be announced. The Mercedes AMG GT S will officially launch in the spring of next year, while the GT will be available later this year.
