The 2025 Porsche 911 Carrera S brings enhanced power and performance to the iconic sports car, continuing the 911’s six-decade legacy as a benchmark in the sports car segment. Slotting between the standard 911 Carrera and the track-tuned 911 Carrera GTS, the refreshed Carrera S offers driving enthusiasts 30 more horsepower and nimbler handling compared to its predecessor.

Under the rear hood lies a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six engine producing 473 horsepower, allowing the Carrera S coupe to sprint from 0-60 mph in just 3.1 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package. This represents a significant boost over the outgoing Carrera S. To squeeze more power from the tried-and-true boxer engine, Porsche fitted larger turbochargers and optimized the charge-air cooling system. The Carrera S Cabriolet model offers unlimited headroom for enjoying the heightened performance.

Beyond added muscle, the 2025 Carrera S also comes with an extensive list of standard equipment to increase driver engagement. Upgraded brakes, a sport exhaust system, and torque vectoring provide sharper reflexes when attacking corners. On the inside, drivers are treated to increased leather upholstery and interior customization options. Additional technologies like rear axle steering and Porsche’s innovative Matrix LED headlights can be added to further hone the 911’s inherent balance and poise.

Since its inception in 1963, the 911 has endured as Porsche’s most recognizable model through continuous evolution. As the latest iteration clearly demonstrates, the company still finds ways to draw more power and capability from the venerable rear-engine layout. The 2025 Carrera S continues the 911’s legacy of offering everyday usability paired with exhilarating performance—now with even quicker acceleration and keener handling.

Pricing for the Coupe starts at $146,400, while the Cabriolet commands a $159,600 base price. Deliveries to Porsche dealers are expected in the spring.
