The king of American motorcycle manufacturers has done it again. Harley-Davidson recently unveiled its most powerful production bike yet—the new CVO Road Glide RR. Drawing inspiration from the company’s factory racing team, this limited-edition bagger packs a race-tuned 131 cubic inch V-twin engine producing a staggering 153 horsepower, making it the mightiest Milwaukee-Eight ever installed in a production Harley.
With only 131 units being built, this special Road Glide commands a lofty $110,000 price tag. But for well-heeled riders who want the ultimate in bagger performance, the CVO Road Glide RR delivers with race-bred suspension, Brembo brakes, and carbon fiber bodywork. Harley states this RR model is over 50 pounds lighter than the standard Road Glide, putting its curb weight at approximately 750 pounds.
“Taking inspiration from the track and onto the street, the Harley-Davidson CVO Road Glide RR is truly the ultimate in performance,” said Jochen Zeitz, Harley-Davidson’s CEO. “With this limited series of motorcycles, we’ve taken all the lessons from the track and created the pinnacle of street-legal bagger performance.”
This track-inspired machine lives up to the CVO (Custom Vehicle Operation) hype with top-shelf Öhlins suspension, slick carbon fiber fenders, and Akrapovič exhaust. It has a staggering 36 degrees of lean angle, 3 more than the normal Road Glide. Harley also equipped this beast with its latest rider aids like cornering ABS and traction control. A high-end Rockford Fosgate audio system provides the tunes.
For riders seeking the ultimate in V-twin performance and style, this limited-edition CVO Road Glide RR represents the pinnacle. It’s a rolling showcase of Harley-Davidson’s pursuit of performance pushed to the edge. This Milwaukee marvel wears its attitude on its carbon fiber sleeves.
