The House of Jaeger-LeCoultre has served up a new interpretation of their iconic Reverso Tribute Chronograph, elevating the timeless sporting watch to new heights of sophistication. Encased in lustrous 18-karat pink gold, this striking new iteration pushes the Reverso’s aesthetic boundaries.
Born on the polo fields of 1930s India, the sleek Art Deco Reverso was created to swivel and protect its crystal during matches. Its blank caseback soon became a canvas for personalization, decorated with intricate engraving, lacquer or gems. The Reverso has reinvented itself for over nine decades without compromising its iconic identity, earning recognition as a 20th century design icon.
This new chronograph celebrates the Reverso’s sporting lineage while honoring the groundbreaking 1996 Reverso Chronograph Retrograde, which introduced an integrated chronograph movement and unique dial layout. The Manufacture has reimagined this movement as Calibre 860, retaining the retrograde minutes counter and horizontal clutch. A study in precision and balance, the pink gold bridges feature refined beveled edges and Côtes de Genève stripes.
The rectilinear case is amplified by a contemporary laser-engraved dial, with fine horizontal lines evoking the Reverso’s signature gadrooned case sides. Applied trapezoid indexes pop against the pink gold, underscored by a black minutes track in sharp contrast. The reverse skeleton dial reveals the chronograph’s inner workings in all their intricate glory.
This masterpiece writes the latest chapter in the epic story of the Reverso. With meticulous details and a new Calibre 860, Jaeger-LeCoultre has once again redefined sporting elegance.
