Montegrappa has unveiled its newest writing instrument paying homage to James Bond. The Goldfinger Special Edition fountain pen and rollerball pen honor the 60th anniversary of 1964’s Goldfinger, one of the most popular and influential Bond films.
Montegrappa is no stranger to the world of 007, having released the well-received 007 Special Edition last year. This new Goldfinger edition brings back the aluminum and brass body with sandblasting to emulate the greed and opulence of the film’s notorious villain Auric Goldfinger. The pens feature knurled metalwork and a unique hollow brass cap meant to replicate the famous gun barrel sequence opening the Bond movies.
The Goldfinger Special Edition pens are robust yet refined. The fountain pen contains a 14k gold nib and convenient cartridge converter filling system. At 55g and 60g respectively, these pens have a pleasing heft and balance for writing. Each pen comes packaged in a presentation box with a passport notebook and travel folio invoking Bond’s jet-setting lifestyle.
Only 707 numbered fountain pens and rollerballs will be produced, adding to their collectibility. Montegrappa has been handcrafting pens in Italy since 1912, combining old-world artistry with modern technology. These new Bond pens exemplify the company’s pursuit of fine craftsmanship and innovative design. Priced from $750, the Goldfinger Special Edition pens will be sold through select retailers worldwide.
