BMW has officially announced the launch of the first-ever M5 Touring model for the US market. Arriving in the fourth quarter of 2024, the M5 Touring blends race-inspired performance with everyday practicality thanks to BMW’s new M Hybrid drive system.
Powering the M5 Touring is a twin-turbo 4.4L V8 paired with an electric motor integrated into the 8-speed automatic transmission. Together they produce a staggering 717 hp and 738 lb-ft of torque, rocketing the wagon from 0-60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. BMW estimates the M5 Touring will reach 124 mph in 11.1 seconds.
Yet the plug-in hybrid system also enables an all-electric range around 25 miles, allowing for silent, emission-free commuting. Drivers can choose from multiple hybrid driving modes to optimize either efficiency or performance.
Matching the power is M xDrive intelligent AWD, adaptive M suspension, M compound brakes, and BMW’s latest iDrive tech. M-specific design cues like flared wheel arches, quad exhaust pipes, and dramatic front/rear fascia emphasize the Touring’s sporting intentions.
Inside, drivers are greeted by the latest curved display with M-specific graphics and leather sport seats. Even with seating for five, the M5 Touring offers up to 57.6 cu ft of cargo space giving it unrivaled utility.
Pricing for the 2025 BMW M5 Touring starts at $121,500.
