Italian hypercar manufacturer Pagani Automobili has chosen Monterey, California as the location to unveil its latest creation—the new Utopia Roadster. Taking center stage during the prestigious Monterey Car Week, the open-top Utopia aims to combine the free spirit of classic roadsters with Pagani’s trademark advanced technology and meticulous craftsmanship.

Staying true to Pagani’s ethos, the Roadster retains the same lightweight carbon fiber monocoque chassis and powerful twin-turbo V12 engine as the Utopia Coupe, weighing in at just 2,822 lbs. Active suspension, differential and traction systems ensure the Roadster delivers exhilarating performance with intuitive handling. Pagani worked closely with Pirelli to develop bespoke tires incorporating sensor technology to communicate road conditions to the car’s systems.

The presentation model unveiled in Monterey comes finished in exposed carbon fiber with Habanero Red accents, transforming from rich brown hues to a vivid red in sunlight. Inside, leather and aluminum components display fine craftsmanship details. Exclusive components from the optional Sport Pack enhance the Roadster’s athletic essence, including Carbo-Titanium seats, exhaust and body elements.

Horacio Pagani chose to launch in California to highlight the Utopia’s compliance with the state’s strict regulations, having passed over 50 crash tests to achieve global homologation. The hand-built hypercar promises a highly customizable driving experience like no other, bringing Pagani’s trademark marriage of artistry and technology to enthusiasts worldwide.

With production limited to 130 examples priced from €3.1 million, the new Utopia Roadster aims to solve the classic dilemma—delivering an open-top sensory experience without compromising the performance and passion inherent in Pagani’s DNA.
