BMW Motorrad has unveiled the highly anticipated 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure, taking BMW’s iconic adventure touring motorcycle to new heights. This nearly all-new model features a completely redesigned 1,300cc boxer engine, new chassis, bodywork, and enhanced technology for superior performance both on and off-road.
The new liquid-cooled boxer engine makes a stout 145 hp and 110 ft-lbs of torque, the most power ever for a BMW motorcycle. It utilizes BMW’s ShiftCam variable valve timing along with a new 6-speed transmission and shaft drive for smooth delivery across the rev range. Fuel economy has been optimized as well.
Handling gets a boost from the all-new chassis featuring steel main frame and aluminum rear frame. Suspension travel is increased to 8.3 inches front and 8.7 inches rear. The Dynamic Electronic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) system adds dynamic damping control. ABS, traction control and other aids are standard.
For comfort on long rides, the R 1300 GS Adventure has a 7.9 gallon tank, adjustable windscreen, standard heated seats and grips, and a 6.5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The innovative Automated Shift Assistant eliminates manual clutch operation for easier riding. Active Cruise Control, collision warning and other advanced electronics are optional.
With its rugged Rallye styling and expanded storage options including aluminum side cases, this new machine is built for adventure.
The 2025 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure will launch in Q4 2024, with pricing announced closer to market introduction.
