BMW has unveiled the 2025 M4 CS, the latest evolution of the brand’s iconic performance coupe. Slotting between the M4 Competition and the ultra-exclusive M4 CSL, the new CS aims to blend track day prowess with everyday drivability.
At the heart of the M4 CS is a retuned version of BMW’s S58 3.0L twin-turbo inline-6, now producing 543hp and 479 lb-ft of torque—gains of 20hp and 37 lb-ft over the standard M4. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic transmission. BMW quotes a 0-60 mph time of just 3.2 seconds.
The M4 CS benefits from extensive use of carbon fiber, including on the roof, hood, mirrors and rear wing. Combined with lightweight wheels and other measures, the CS weighs 77 lbs less than a standard M4 Competition. The diet contributes to sharper handling and steering response.
Chassis upgrades are also part of the package, including stiffer engine mounts, increased front camber, and retuned adaptive dampers. The all-wheel drive system is specially calibrated, with a rear-biased torque split for added agility. Exclusive gold-bronze or black forged alloy wheels come wrapped in track-focused rubber.
Visually, the M4 CS stands apart with exposed carbon accents contrasted by two exclusive BMW Individual paint options—Frozen Isle of Man Green and Riviera Blue metallic. The familiar kidney grilles are frameless items with red outline, matching other red accents found on the badges and interior.
Inside, lightweight carbon bucket seats with Merino leather upholstery set the tone. The cabin features BMW’s latest Curved Display with M-specific graphics and iDrive 8 interface. Other highlights include an Alcantara steering wheel, anthracite headliner, and ‘CS’ badging throughout.
The 2025 BMW M4 CS cements the model’s status as a pinnacle of performance in the brand’s lineup. Blending motorsport technology with everyday usability, it’s a coveted halo car for driving enthusiasts. Pricing starts at $123,500 when it arrives in showrooms next July.
