Mercedes-Benz unveiled extensive 2025 updates for its flagship EQS electric sedan, including a new front fascia, larger battery, and enhanced rear passenger comfort.
The refined EQS sports a unique grille with flush chrome slats contrasting the deep black surround. Perched atop the hood, an iconic Mercedes standing star signals the brand’s electrified path. An AMG Line bumper completes the modern look.
Inside, chrome accents now embellish the B-pillars’ climate vents. Quilted pillows with piping and contrast stitching further pamper rear passengers. Those opting for the Pinnacle Trim’s Executive Interior Package gain added benefits: the front passenger seat folds forward, the powered rear seats recline to 38 degrees, and rapid heating warms backs and necks. Backlit trim in the front seatbacks provides ambience.
Even standard rear seats see improvements, with adjustable recline from 27 to 36 degrees, extra foam padding, and a layered design.
But the real gains lie under the sheetmetal. A larger 118 kWh battery, increased regenerative braking capabilities, and new software yield extended electric range. Special braking functions maintain the discs through automatic periodic applications.
Over 55 inches of curves cover the cockpit: the standard MBUX Hyperscreen with its trio of melded displays. A standard heat pump leverages waste energy from the motor and battery for climate control, reducing drain on the battery.
Mercedes says its dedication to quickly incorporating innovations into existing models will benefit the entire EVA2 architecture family, which includes the EQS and EQE SUVs alongside their sedan stablemates.
With its blend of beauty, brains and brawn, Mercedes’ refreshed EQS sedan looks to maintain its spot atop the electric luxury ladder. Enhanced aesthetics, intelligence and comfort make Stuttgart’s sleek sedan an even more sublime selection.
