Porsche has expanded its all-electric Taycan sports sedan lineup with two new high-performance variants: the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT and Taycan Turbo GT Weissach. Serving as the new flagship electric models, these track-focused Taycans push the boundaries of electric vehicle performance.

The Turbo GT models feature a boosted pulse inverter that enables up to 1,092 horsepower for short bursts. This propels the vehicles to 60 mph in a blistering 2.1-2.2 seconds. Beyond sheer power, Porsche focused on maximizing driving dynamics through weight reduction, aerodynamics, braking, and handling. Impressively, the Weissach Package variant shattered the production EV lap record at the Nürburgring by 26 seconds.

To achieve such performance, Porsche incorporated racing technology from its Formula E program. Most notably, the Turbo GT features an “Attack Mode” boost system adapted from Porsche’s 99X electric race cars. This temporarily unlocks an extra 120 kW for 10 seconds—optimized for track use.

Visually, the Turbo GT models stand out through racing-inspired elements like a pronounced rear wing, gold brake calipers, and exclusive paint options. The interior also reflects the focus on performance, with a GT Sport steering wheel, Race-Tex upholstery, and optional exposed carbon fiber.

With deliveries starting this summer, the Taycan Turbo GT Weissach is poised to claim the title of quickest production EV yet again. Porsche has reinforced its leadership in the emerging era of electric sports cars.

Pricing for the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT and the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package starts at $230,000, exclusive of a a $1,995 delivery fee.
