‘Cherry Street’, The Lake Tahoe retreat of retired NFL player and former Oakland Raiders team member Robert Gallery, is back in the real estate news this summer, with a price cut. The waterfront property, which initially appeared for sale this spring at $10.2 million, is now asking $9.8 million.

The 2.38-acre, 2020-built compound mixes lodge and alpine styles. Material choices and details are occasionally remarkable; wood salvaged from the pier at the Tahoe Tavern, a legendary area resort casino, while the suspended industrial staircase is made of forged steel.

The main house contains five bedrooms and five baths. The shared living area is as cavernous as one might expect, with cathedral ceilings, a monolithic stacked stone fireplace and accent wall, a stacked-stone and reclaimed timber bar, and soaring panes of glass overlooking the lake.

A wall of pocketing glass opens to the property’s primary destination: a 1,400 sq. ft. waterfront deck on the second level. From the lower level, sliding glass opens to a slate patio and firepit lounge. Other trimmings on the property include a 30-foot water feature, an elevator, two garages, and a one-bedroom guest house.
