One of the more compelling watch themes is the astronomical, and for 2023 Vacheron Constantin has a new design that offers a dual view of our romantic natural satellite and the charted heavenly stardust that fuels the dreams of humankind.

The Swiss firm calls the model the Les Cabinotiers Dual Moon Grand Complication, and it features a minute repeater and 11 complications as well as moon phases and a sky chart. The timepiece favors the moon, as its name suggests, but provides a companion display of the cosmic background that extends to the limits of imagination behind our most local planetoid.

The watch is powered by Constantin’s 2755 TMRCCQP calibre, a 774-component design. Constantin calls the single-example piece one of the most technically complex of any in watchmaking. Materials involved in the build include titanium, rhodium and 18K gold; the strap is alligator. Incredibly fine machining accounts for the astonishing detail of the watch faces.

Vacheron Constantin hasn’t revealed the price of the watch. But, if you’re in time to purchase, they’ll tell you upon request.
