The Manhattan roost of casino high-flier Steve Wynn is back this spring, with a price cut that takes its ask from $90 million to $75 million. The Central Park South property contains nearly 11,000 sq. ft. of interiors.

The building represents either coincidence or meta on the part of hotelier Wynn, as it was the St. Moritz Hotel in its former life. It was designed by signature New York City architect Emery Roth.

The penthouse unit only contains three bedrooms across all that square footage; much of the property is dedicated to leisure space and amenities. The litany includes the living room, which has great room proportions for a reason: the space was originally purposed as the hotel’s ballroom. Other specialty spaces include a gym — an auxiliary space of the master suite — as well as a media room and a library.

Renovations conducted according to taste by the penthouse’s present owner include the kitchen, which turned out a gem. The floor is checkerboard stone tile, jet black and mottled grey, while the countertops and backsplashes are green stone; the combination is complex and soothing, ideal ballast for the commercial stainless hardware that populates the room.

The penthouse’s living area extends outside, needless to say. At its apex, the unit’s wrap-around terrace space offers stunning views that travel the full length of Central Park.

Wynn’s net worth is north of $3 billion, according to Forbes.
