Mike Myers Puts Manhattan Penthouse on the Market for $20M

The Manhattan penthouse comedian and writer Mike Myers purchased five years ago is up for sale this spring. Myers listed the four-bedroom, five-bath penthouse unit for $20 million.

The 5,728 sq. ft. unit is one of the crown jewels in a recent boutique condo; it is one of thirty-five residences at the address, of which two are currently for sale. The ten-story building in West Chelsea was designed by noted architect Thomas Juul Hansen, and completed in 2015.

The penthouse is a flat unit. Entry is accomplished via foyer and service elevators; in a powerfully liberating transition, the residence’s gallery gives way to a glassy hallway that opens to the larger of the unit’s two terraces, and then progresses to the property’s great room, a cavernous space that measures 22.5 feet by 28.6. The great room’s proportions are emphasized by the fireplace accent wall, a monolithic flourish that adds significant gravitas to the living style.

The flooring throughout the common area — including the kitchen, an exercise in glitzy Gotham rigor with an L-shaped multi-use island and inner prep island — is natural-toned white oak. The unit’s library is a gem, cerebral and a touch monastic, but luxuriating in floor-to-ceiling built-in shelving. Other amenities in the residence include a sauna and a smaller, private terrace, the former allied with the master, the latter with the property’s guest bedroom.
