2024 Maserati GranTurismo Reveals Plush, Artfully Balanced Interior

Revealed late last year to much fanfare, the new Maserati performance touring car, the GranTurismo, reveals both tradition and iconoclasm in its exterior. No surprise there, as nearly all of the elders among European sports manufacturers sustain this sort of lilting tension, and some of the more marvelous examples of limited-built models and variants seen this century emerge through collaboration with classical coachbuilders.

The GranTurismo’s driverly experience is cutting edge, but a look at the interiors of the various trim levels generally reveals a nicely balanced mix of the evocative and the new, the plush and the aggressive. A 12.3-inch infotainment screen and 12.2-inch vitals screen command the eye, but in the margins are turbine flourishes and analog forms.

The trim levels of the GranTurismo differentiate further between sport and luxury priorities. The Trofeo is the more driver-centric trim level, and is a touch more restrained, while the Modena’s plushness suggests the family car for the fashionably well-heeled Roman brood. The GranTursimo Folgore’s adventurous, two-tone interior reflects its forward thinking electric-motor powertrain. Finally, a launch-specific version, the PrimaSerie 75th Anniversary Edition, capitalizes specifically on Maserati history.

However, a picture, as they say…
