Maserati’s MC20 is something of a contemporary paragon of nimble and understated wedge-style grace, but for buyers looking for a bit more visibility in supercar-heavy populations Mansory has a solution. The German tuning shop designed a kit for the Maserati halo model and announced it as the first new package of the New Year.
Aside from a center strip and wing trim in the colors of the Italian flag, the car’s transformation is textbook Mansory: a heavy dose of track-inspired high drama given additional cred through extensive use of carbon fiber.
The prototypical or photo-shoot example is dressed in a shadowy color scheme that allows the raw-looking ‘forged’ carbon fiber to be most effective as an accent material. Carbon fiber components and parts include doors, hood, intakes, rear diffuser and wheel arches. The package also includes new rims and tires.
Mansory tuned the native 3.0L V6 biturbo to deliver an additional 90 horsepower; the kit brings the MC20’s basic numbers to 720 HP and 627 pound-feet of torque. The Mansory-enhanced MC20 can hit 62 MPH in 2.7 seconds on its way to a top speed of 205.
Mansory chose to show off the tuned MC20 with a canary-yellow interior. But, as always, the color-scheme choices are many, and left up to the imagination and taste of the client.
