The Manhattan apartment Bill Gates purchased for his daughter Jennifer earlier this year is back on the open market, according to the New York Post. The unit listed in early November with a $4.75 million asking price, public records reveal. Gates’ purchase price was apparently $5 million.
The building is located in the Carnegie Hill neighborhood. The unit spans 2,389 sq. ft. and contains three bedrooms and four baths. It is positioned to take in Central Park views from its primary living area, an open living/dining design; across the unit is a trim half-and-half kitchen. All bedrooms are suites. The residence features hardwood and tile floors, recessed built-in shelving, and exposed beams.
The building dates to the 1930s and was converted to 55 condominiums in 2011. Amenities in the development include a fitness center, resident’s lounge and children’s playroom.
Gates’ residential acquisitions of the past few years include a mansion in Del Mar, for which the tech titan shelled out $43 million in early 2020. The 1999-built luxury home contains six bedrooms across 5,800 sq. ft. of interiors, and a living style informed by Pacific Islands and Mediterranean styles.
Gates’ net worth is around $103 billion.
