Tyler, the Creator Offering L.A. Modern for Below-Purchase $7M

Earlier this year, rapper and record producer Tyler the Creator bought heavily into the Bel Air lifestyle, building on the high-fashion persona he showed off with fellow Gucci spokesmen Iggy Pop and A$AP Rocky back in 2020. The residence he selected in the neighborhood was a modern dating to 1965; the amount he paid: $7.92 million.

A listing follows the acquisition by a few months. This fall, the four-bed, five-bath property appeared on the Los Angeles market once again, this time tagged at a dollar under $7 million. An ask at nearly a million less than its last selling price makes the home quite a relative bargain.

With its interiors measuring in at 5,826 sq. ft. and a single-level layout, the home ambles along its footprint in a relaxed fashion; its 1.05-acre lot size allows for plentiful outdoor space despite its rambling design. At the back yard terminus it breaks into a marvelous glassy living area with a vaulted ceiling; two massive sliding single-pane doors and series clerestories overlook the backyard, while a semi-open linear fireplace in a peninsular accent and enhanced plank hardwood warm and give definition to balance the ethereal feel.

The bedrooms in the home are all gems, and there is a multiple-suite arrangement. A spa and studio, media room, and bright midcentury office or library with abundant built-in bookshelves sketch the amenities profile of this very eligible corner of L.A.’s most elegant neighborhood.

Tyler, the Creator has released six studio albums; all have landed in the Top 5 of the Billboard 200 chart, with his last two releases—2019’s Igor and 2021’s Call Me If You Get Lost—reaching the number one position.
