A contemporary Cape-meets-Modern Farmhouse appeared on the Los Angeles real estate market this autumn courtesy of present owner Andrei Kirilenko. The NBA All-Star, who is the present commissioner of the Russian Basketball Federation, has owned the Bel-Air property since 2018. He has priced the home at $5.29 million.

The 4,495 sq. ft. house was new when Kirilenko closed on it four years ago. The façade presents the property as both inviting and imposing, with a pleasing asymmetry combined with a pale blue-on-white color scheme, stacked stone, front porch and double-door entry.

Stepping inside, the five-bed, six-bath home’s shared spaces unfurl in a fairly compartmental layout, with partial walls for room definition; the kitchen, day room and family room is presented as one space, an uninterrupted progression with a fireplace as a terminus and a partial wall of fold-away glass panels for an indoor/outdoor experience.

Very pale, almost pastel gray walls, off-the-rack fixtures, and pale matte-finished wide-plank hardwood floors complete a sketch of the lower level. Upstairs, the master bedroom gets the lion’s share of the space; it features a fireplace and double sliding steel-framed multi-pane glass doors for patio access, and is paired with a bath finished with hexagonal tile: lesser for the shower floor, greater otherwise.
