BMW unveiled the 2023 M2 recently. A hulking brute of a little brother, the new iteration of the model looks like it has a chip on its shoulder. The thing is, it has the numbers to back up all that attitude.
As the company’s last non-electric M, the 2023 M2 sends the marque’s performance-oriented gas burners out with a bang. Its form is flared, brutalist and aggressive, and it is both longer and lower than the outgoing iteration. Looking at this newest M2, the optional M Driver’s package may be requisite.
The 2023 M2 comes loaded with a TwinPower Turbo six-cylinder producing 453 horsepower and 406 pound-feet of torque; fittingly, the offered six-speed manual is the standard gearbox. An eight-speed M Steptronic is the option, and slices .2 seconds off the manual’s 4.1-second 0-60 time. BMW opted to stagger the wheels for 2023, giving the new M2 19-inch alloys in front and 20-inch units in back.
The 2023 BMW M2 will be priced from $63,195, destination included.
