Retired NFL offensive lineman Orlando Franklin listed his home near Denver, Colorado, this autumn. Franklin, who spent his first seasons with the Broncos, is asking $7.5 million for the property.

The house is something of a trophy behemoth. It contains 16,122 sq. ft. of interior living area across two levels, so much of the .92-acre lot is occupied by its footprint. In front, the home’s masonry exterior is interrupted by a grand entrance with an exaggerated arched flourish around a pivoting front door and its glassy frame.

Space is evoked in the shared spaces of this house constantly. The foyer shows off a double staircase and a two-level ceiling in a modern-inflected design scheme. The great room features a soaring ceiling, and there are two floor-to-ceiling fireplace accent walls to emphasize the volume.

The home’s list of amenities is a long one. On the list is a basement entertainment room with a full-sized bar, a gym, a theater with tiered seating, a double-island kitchen, and a master with a fireplace sitting area and an extravagantly long dedicated bath.
