Russian iPhone bling specialist Caviar is back this fall with a combination unit: a gold iPhone 14 and Rolex Daytona timepiece, all in one.
The $134,000 accessory speaks as loudly as the other Caviar products released in the past (the list includes a gold-soaked Tesla Model S for the gangster with an eco-conscience, as well as an ultimate gold iPhone: an iPhone 12 backed with a kilo bar of the precious metal) but, for a phone, is hardly svelte.
The Rolex case increases its depth, not to mention the three 18-karat toggle switches on the bottom of the unit; according to Caviar, the latter are ‘functional…but only for decorative purposes.’ Above the 40mm Cosmograph Daytona are a trio of dials representing analog dash instruments: speedometer, oil and fuel.
The case is rather niftily fabricated out of PVD-coated titanium. The limited-edition item will be produced in a run of just three examples.
