In terms of East Coast entertainment ground-zero residency options, big changes appear to be afoot for actor and content creator Louis C.K. Earlier this autumn, the hardworking fellow acquired a new unit in his preferred New York City stomping ground — the West Village — investing in a four-bedroom co-op property with shelving space for a small library in a 1927-vintage Art Deco building.
The acquisition set him back nearly four million dollars. An initial listing in the neighborhood followed at $1.9 million; within weeks, it seems that the comedian has put another property in the area up for sale. This time it’s a townhouse, tagged at $7.5 million.
This newest listing from Louis C.K. is an 1829-built red brick row house in Hudson Square. The property contains five bedrooms and four baths across 4,822 sq. ft. and three levels. The residence’s living spaces feature ceilings that appear to be at least nine feet high; the kitchen boasts a series skylight, and the design is reprised as the home progresses. Red brick, wide-plank pine floors, and newer oak floors also contribute to the tasteful interiors.
The property’s garden level opens to a hemmed-in backyard. This outdoor space features elevated planters and bench seating beneath a pair of heirloom trees.
