The Los Angeles high-rise residence marketed over the last year by businessman and billionaire Sergey Grishin is back in the real estate news after a recent closing.

Grishin initially listed the penthouse property late in the summer of 2021, asking $21 million; a relist, with an attendant reduction to $17.9 million, followed in August of this year. The expansive unit ultimately went to its new owner for $14 million, according to an article in Dirt.

The unit caps the Robert A.M. Stern-designed Century Building. Its interior design and architecture is the work of designer Roberto Cavalli (the furnishings, too, were selected by Cavalli and co; originally part and parcel of the sale at the original $21 million asking price, it appears that the recent transaction included them). The materials Cavalli decided upon are occasionally exotic, and include the onyx and African mahogany in the lobby floor parquet.

Parquet is returned to for the living room, where it joins a gas fireplace and the floor-to-ceiling multi-pane windows that drench the space in light and give a sense of immediacy to the sprawling city far below. To get a little closer to them, there is a breakfasting terrace off the kitchen, as well as the private terraces off the unit’s two bedroom suites. A sauna and an office round out the amenities.
