Actor and filmmaker Adam Sandler added a three-bedroom in Pacific Palisades to his extensive portfolio this fall, according to Dirt. The property’s stay on the open market was a short one; it appeared in August with an asking price of $3.995 million, and sold at $4.075 million about a month later.

The 1,840 square-footer is a 1947 vintage.  It sits on a grassy corner lot that abuts Temescal Gateway Park with a backyard that features, as decoration, a mature lemon tree. The home begins with a deeply recessed entry, and a single front door that opens to the long living area that dominates the front of the structure.

Details at work in this home include a living room fireplace with a black tile surround and hearth step, crown molding, a kitchen with a butler’s door, and louvered doors for closing off the dining room. The back yard is enclosed by privacy hedges.

The sale included plans for a new, 7,600 sq. ft. home.
