It was only about fifteen months ago when rap star Yo Gotti shelled out an above-ask $7.6 million for an atmospheric Mediterranean-inflected retreat in Westlake Village. But the compound in the North Ranch Country Club gated community returned to the open market last month tagged at $8.6 million.

The estate contains six bedrooms and nine baths throughout 10,110 sq. ft. of interiors, and spans 3.04 acres. It’s a turnkey lifestyle solution with an office, library, gym and extravagant outdoor living area with a large zero-edge pool among its amenities. But it wound up either a strategic or fickle flip for Gotti.

Interiors on the property are marked by a graceful and wide-open shared living space with arched room transitions, a fireplace, raw timber coffered and beamed ceilings, trim and paneling, wrought iron doors, stone tile floors, and a pyramid skylight. The home’s design incorporates a turret, which houses a rotunda dayroom. The master suite is isolated in a private wing, with a fireplace sitting room, twin baths and closets, and spa.

The lavish outdoor living area meanders over the acreage, with cabanas, rose gardens, water features, and a tennis court appearing in turn as it develops.

Gotti’s most recent studio release is CM10: Free Game; it was released earlier and peaked at number three on the Billboard 200 chart.
