The newest model year iteration of the Bentley Flying Spur Speed is the fastest yet — Bentley’s announcement for the 2023 version of the quicksilver touring car proudly states that its speedometer will hit 207 MPH before calling it a day.

Naturally, the performance car is still outfitted with Bentley’s 6.0L W12 engine, which has been becoming something of a rare bird. Earlier this year, Bentley made another announcement: the W12 would no longer be available on the regular production Flying Spur as hybrid and V8 versions take over. That means the Speed variant is the only option for those staunch traditionalists needing twelve cylinders and at least 600 horsepower before having to shell out for a Mulliner-level solution.

Some 617 horsepower and 664 lb-ft of torque are on hand, but power isn’t the end of the story for the 2023 Flying Spur Speed, of course. For the upcoming model year, the exceedingly capable tourer features subtle cosmetic touches to distinguish it from the regular Flying Spur, including shadowy exterior accents, as well as 22-inch wheels and, as an option, Bentley’s Styling Specification: a host of hand-made carbon fiber components that includes front splitter and rear diffuser. Performance features for the Flying Spur Speed include a torque vectoring system, all-wheel steering, and the automaker’s Dynamic Ride System, all included standard.

Inside the 2023 Flying Spur Speed is a healthy dose of Bentley leather — 15 choices for 2023 — as well as ‘Dinamica Pure’, a textile is mostly derived from recycled polyester. All seats are heated, ventilated, and massaging, and can be programmed in two memorized positions. Sports pedals and special badging complete a look at the variant’s cabin.

Bentley hasn’t yet announced pricing for the 2023 Flying Spur Speed. The V8 version of the Flying Spur currently commands a $198,100 starting price.
