With their new escape property in Aspen signed, sealed and delivered at $13.6 million, television personality Kyle Richards and her real restate broker husband Mauricio Umansky were probably pleased to accept an offer of $7.75 million for the four-bedroom, five-bath duplex in the area they listed earlier this year.
The couple had been hoping for an offer of around ten million for the 1979-built property, but if public records are correct the duo paid $5 million on the nose for the place about three years ago, and so fared quite well on the deal. For its part, the duplex sells itself for the well-heeled celeb looking for a slice of Aspen rusticity, with river stone used heavily as an accent material — and for the main and master bedroom fireplaces — and plentiful log and plank.
As for the pair’s new Aspen hideaway, it’s a 1997-built single-family residence that’s as intensely Alpine-inspired, with fine views of the area’s mountains and trails. Interiors measure 4,382 sq. ft., with stone, plank-finished ceilings, skylights, and glass doors opening onto a terrace overlooking the raw beauty of the landscape.
