A brand-new modern-inspired three-story house in Laguna Beach hit the market this May tagged at $49 million. Last month, the turnkey trophy closed at $43.5 million. The buyers were Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta, billionaire brothers who made their fortunes, at least in part, through interests in casinos and pugilism: Lorenzo’s previous positions include CEO of UFC, while Frank founded Zuffa, which now owns the organization.

From the front, the house looks the part of a particularly inviting modern, with an unusual degree of transparency; the walls are almost entirely glass. Hardwood accents add warmth to the first impression. Inside the home, materials include Venetian plaster, titanium, African teak, limestone, and walnut; amenities include a gym, a kitchen with Gaggenau hardware, an elevator, and Savant smart operation for the home’s ECO lighting, security, automatic shades, and entertainment.

The house is situated within the confines of a guard-gated community designed around a private beach. It was completed in the early months of this year, and contains five bedrooms and at least seven baths across its 4,981 sq. ft. of interior living area. The master suite is decked out with a private ocean-side patio, a fire pit, a coffee station and a bath with a steam shower. The patio is one of several charming garden living spaces accessible through the optional glass walls that populate the home.

The amenities at the exclusive community are arguably more expansive. The list includes half a dozen tennis courts, parks, playgrounds and sports courts, and various events.

The Fertitta brothers each have a net worth of $2.5 billion, per Forbes.
