Retired Buffalo Sabres goalie Ryan Miller and his wife, actress Noureen DeWulf, listed their residence in Manhattan Beach, California, this month. According to Dirt, the couple is asking $9.799 million for the four-bedroom, a 4,599 sq. ft. three-level within walking distance of the beach; the residence went up in 2019.
From the street, the home looks suitably inviting, with an enclosed open-air pool that combines with the little front yard by virtue of two optional glass walls. The upper level features a steel pergola that partially covers one side of a full-width terrace.
The interiors have a washed-out, beachy feel by way of white walls and ceilings, pale-toned hardwood and textured wall covering; the kitchen’s rattan pendants in the kitchen represent the most forceful stylistic expression. Black fittings against the bright white paint add a certain subdued drama, while the cool tones used here and there suggest the aquatic and soothe.
The pool room is the selling point, though. Enclosed, with a wood-burning fireplace and fold-away glass equipped with optional shades, it can present opportunity for both community-ready and intimate recreating.
