Jeff Greene hasn’t had an easy go of selling his massive, tricked-out residence in Beverly Hills, despite its affectionate moniker. The real estate developer has had the estate on and off the open market since at least 2014, when it asked nearly $200 million.

But no luck finding a buyer doesn’t preclude finding a renter with enough disposable income for a $295K per-month lark, and so onto the rental market goes the property, which has been titled ‘Palazzo di Amore’. And, with 12 bedrooms and 23 baths across the estate, such a lark could be a collective effort.

A 25-acre estate in Beverly Hills is a rare animal, and the property’s extraordinary personality begins there. Across the grounds are gardens, a vineyard, a tennis court, water fountains and other features, a Roman-style bath and an infinity-edge pool, and an outdoor living, dining and recreating complex of patios and terraces.

The house was built by ex-Ritz-Carlton hotel developer Mohamed Hadid, a household name in Bel-Air after Villa Vecchio, his 100,000 sq. ft. modern mansion, ran into a years-long courtroom narrative that ended with its sale at land value and demolition earlier this year. Hadid sold his own mansion in Bel-Air back in 2010, and wound up leasing it himself; a look at it reveals much about his house style: space, craftsmanship details, and amenities.

And so Palazzo di Amore, which has 35,000 sq. ft. of interiors, a long list of craftsmanship details that includes custom-milled and hand-carved wood, ceiling frescoes, extravagant chandeliers, inlaid hardwood and marble floors, and an equally long list of amenities that includes a ballroom with a rotating dance floor, a Hammam, a two-lane bowling alley, and a massive theater with tiered seating and a star field ceiling.

Greene’s net worth is north of $7 billion.
