Canadian company BRP’s new Can-Am models, the Pulse and Origin, represent an important step: they are Can-Am’s first two-wheeled electric vehicles. The company made its name producing three-wheelers.
The pair covers a lot of ground. Scheduled to arrive in dealerships in 2024, the Origin is designed to straddle on- and off-road, while the Pulse is meant for tackling urban environs as a daily getabout.
BRP is still working out the specifics of the designs, apparently, because information is scant. They do reveal some valuable powertrain information: the two bikes will share Rotax E-Power motors. Apart from that, interested buyers will have to wait until next year, when BRP finalizes and reveals specs.
