Katy Perry’s 1959-built Regency-inflected Los Angeles mansion has found a buyer. Perry listed the stylized 5,427 sq. ft. house last March. Hoping for $19.5 million, she ultimately accepted an offer of $18 million for the five-bedder.

Beyond a set of attractive gates and pilasters, and at the end of a fairly long tree and hedgerow lined driveway, the house’s partially ivy-covered façade is framed by lush and varied landscaping. It’s a cheery first impression, with a bit of historical gravitas to lend credence to its elder statesman personality.

Interiors begin after a Regency-inspired entryway — the oval windows are right out of the John Elgin Woolf playbook — and unfurl as an eminently livable series of spaces. Cool and neutral tones are used, light fixtures are diverse, and room-to-room flow is superb.

Outside, the 1.16-acre lot allows the space for a large gradient of privacy hedge-protected lawns, while an infinity pool and sundeck overlook canyon views.
