The new e-bikes from MV Agusta are both entirely capable and uniquely styled. Taking inspiration from a particularly fine rally performance — the Elefant Lucky Explorer at the Paris-Dakar, which began in 1978 — the bikes are optimized for off-road travel.
MV Agusta called the developmental enterprise the Lucky Explorer Project, and the two bike models that emerged from it are the LXP E-Enduro and LXP E-Gravel. Both bikes feature a carbon frame and Fox Float or rigid forks, but their componentry diverges from that point.
The E-Enduro boasts a Bosch Performance Line CX engine, while the E-Gravel is outfitted with a Mahle X20; the E-Gravel gets Campagnolo brakes and transmission, while the E-Enduro’s gearbox is a SRAM XX1 Eagle AXS and it has Braking IN.CA.S 2.0 for stopping power. Tires are sourced from Pirelli or Vittoria Mazza.
So when will the LXP bikes be available? MV Agusta hasn’t specified. But they are ‘coming soon’…
