NFL champ Antonio Pierce, having crossed the line from retired player into a coaching contract with Sin City’s local heroes, is selling his home in Los Angeles County.
Earlier this year, Pierce was coaxed to guide the Las Vegas Raiders, and has by all accounts settled in like a natural. Apparently that makes the Palos Verdes Estates home redundant, inconvenient or just plain perennially empty, and onto the open market it goes priced at $2.998 million.
The house hails from 1963. A capable if unremarkable suburban unit, it contains three bedrooms and three baths across 2,205 sq. ft. Its location is excellent, however; the .2-acre lot places occupants a stone’s throw from the park.
The home’s interiors have seen fairly recent revision here and there; the kitchen’s updates include a newer barn sink. Original details include the brick fireplaces, which have been given a lick of white paint. But the real story with this house is how the staid exterior gives way to an interior that’s refreshingly bright, modern and unpretentious. The unusually fine views contribute greatly to the appeal.
